What began as a setback—three women losing their corporate jobs at the same time—turned into an opportunity to build something deeply personal. With one friend’s restaurant know-how and the others’ determination, they opened a space where the mantra is simple: “Come as a guest, leave as family.”
Here, food isn’t just food. It’s love, memory, and heritage—served on injera, flavored with spice, and rooted in tradition. The women pour themselves into every dish, determined that each plate represents Ethiopia with authenticity and care.
By chance, Gibbs arrives during Meskel, an Ethiopian Orthodox festival that celebrates the discovery of the True Cross by Empress Helena in the 4th century. The timing adds a layer of depth, reminding us that food and culture aren’t separate—they’re stitched into the rhythms of faith, history, and community.
